Map Suggestions For JFF Servers

Mod edit: In this thread you can suggest maps from JFF non-members to be added to our servers. Keep in mind we only accept FunSpeed*, Nascar, and LOL maps.

Map requirements:

FunSpeed 60k: Gold time 50s-75s, difficulty beginners - intermediates
FunSpeed 90k: Gold time 50s-75s, difficulty beginners - experts
SexyLOL 60k: Gold time 10s-30s, difficulty beginners - experts
Nascar 60k: 25s-58s per lap
Nascar 90k: 3 laps minimum, author time max 2min

Please post a TMX link and a brief description. We will test any map meeting the requirements and post our feedback as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your contribution!

* Our servers, being amongst the most popular Freezone servers altogether, are frequented by a lot of less experienced players, and we therefore can't upload any expert level FullSpeed tracks.

durch sweety is mir aufgefallen, dass ein Thread fehlt, in dem man Maps posten kann, die auf ralles server sollen/ können, und NICHT von uns (JFFlern) kommen.

sollte jemand maps finden, die echt gut sind und auf ralles server können (Nascar, Speed, 90k, coast, H&S, ...). dann bitte HIER rein smiling

I personally like the track. However, for our servers I'd suggest to remove the edge before the sticky/CP3. Not everyone is fast enough to make it past the edge (keep in mind our servers are Freezone/FunSpeed only), and it also makes it tough to respawn at CP2. CP4, although interesting, is also a bit too tough to respawn, which is especially annoying as it's the last before finish; I'd suggest to make it downhill respawnable, maybe with a boost lane next to the main/fullspeed route, but it'd do without that as well. From my experience, those issues will result in bad karma, and we only keep maps with a karma of 50+ on our servers.

Nonagon 3:
This is a pure FullSpeed track and most likely too hard for our FunSpeed servers altogether.

I updated the map, respawning at checkpoint 2-4 is way easier now. The edges at checkpoint 3 should be no problem anymore.

Track's looking very good now iyam, good job. I assume Alien and/or Lurk want to look over it and have a final say though. One of us will report back once we've come to a decision so you can join us for the upload and see how well it's received by the players.

I've talked to Alien after he tested your map and we've come to agree that it'd be better to remove the anti-boost right before CP4. The majority of players won't be fast enough for it to be necessary, even if that means the sector won't be FS for the fastest drivers any more. The desired result is that this sector will cause no reason for annoyance for the less experienced players (ie. the majority of the target audience) while at the same time be more tricky and competitive for the fastest ones, which should warrant a good karma from all players across the board.

Once you've done that we're ready to give it a go on our 60k and 90k FunSpeed servers ASAP. Thanks again for your efforts.

Hey Lumatom.

Your Map is really good.... like it but one thing is a problem :/

I missing more signs unhappy

so you can find easier the way and for "noobs" is that one of the a and o wink
i hope you know what i mean and you understand my bad english ;D

So I replaced the anti-boost. Deleting it would result in a huge skid next U-turn. Respawners can easily dodge the replaced anti-boost. I added some signs as Lurk requested.

Good point, and good solution. We've tested it on Lorbi's server and it looks good, although it could've done with even more signs (in fact you can't have too many signs).

edit: After speaking with Lurk I'll leave the final decision to him.

yea, very nice track, i personally like it, but i needed a few tries because there were too less signs smiling if you could fix that, it would be a perfect track for alien's server imo smiling
